January: Season of Peach Blossom, Plum Blossom & Rapeseed Flower
When spring comes, everywhere from Quan Ba (Quyet Tien, Minh Tan), Yen Minh (Lao Va Chai, Na Khe, Bach Dich), Dong Van (Pho Bang, Pho Cao, Sung La, Sa Phin, and Phin Tung ) to Meo Vac (Sung Tra, Sung Trai, Lung Phin), peach blossom, plum blossom and rapeseed flower bloom vividly.
April, May: Pour Water Season
The pour water season mostly takes place in Northwestern Vietnam in May – June; in some areas, it even occurs early in April or late in July. But the most beautiful time to witness the pouring water season is still in the middle of the harvesting season, around May – June.

Lung Cu flagpole
Lung Cu flagpole is a national flagpole located at the top of Lung Cu, also known as the top of the Dragon Mountain (Long Son) with an elevation of about 1,470 m above sea level, belonging to Lung Cu commune, Dong Van district, the northernmost point of Vietnam. From the car park halfway up the mountain, visitors have to conquer 286 stone steps to an altitude of 1700m to set foot on the summit of Lung Cu and stand under the red flag with yellow stars flying in the wind.
Dong Van Old Town
Dong Van Old Town is located in Dong Van town. Dong Van Market, built of stone in the 1920s, is almost intact to this day. The Old Town is a destination that you cannot miss out when traveling to Ha Giang because of the attraction of the ancient yin and yang tile roofs from old houses, of the bustling weekend markets filled with highland cultural identities, of the colorful lanterns hanging in the street, of fermented corn wine, of Don Cao – a place that can offer a panoramic view of Dong Van town, etc.
Hoang Su Phi
Hoang Su Phi is located about 50 km from Ha Giang city. This is a highland border district that attracts adventurous tourists because the road is quite rugged. The terraced fields in regardless of the ripe rice season or the water pour season, all possess breathtaking beauty.
En Cave
En Cave is located in Yen Minh district, about 60 km from Ha Giang city. This is the 3rd largest cave in the world, famous for its beautiful pristine beauty. En Cave is home to the swallows and thousands of other strange creatures. You will surely have unforgettable experiences when coming to En Cave. This is a must-explore place when coming here.
Ma Pi Leng Pass
As one of the most dangerous passes in Ha Giang, located on the road of Happiness linking the town of Dong Van and Meo Vac, the Ma Pi Leng Pass possesses soaring and rugged rocky mountains and cloudy fog, creating a spectacular natural scene. Dong Van steamed rice rolls
Coming to Dong Van town, do not forget to enjoy steamed rice rolls for breakfast. The cake is thinly coated, finely dipped in bone broth with chopped onions and fragrant grilled meat. Visitors won’t be able to forget the unique flavor of Dong Van steamed rice rolls.
Buckwheat flour cake

Smoking-shelf meat
