Day 1

ARRIVAL IN HANOI

Welcome to Vietnam! Upon arrival to Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi, your driver and guide will meet you and they will transfer you to your hotel in the downtown. Check-in and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2

Hanoi City

The city tour of the capital city occupies your whole day. The sites include Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, his house-on-stilts, One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature – Vietnam’s first university. In the afternoon, the tour continues with a visit to one of the following museums, you can pick the one you like (the Ethnology Museum, Army Museum, National Fine Arts Museum, Hanoi Hilton prison or Vietnam Women Museum). Followed by a short walk or a cyclo ride in the Old Quarter. End the day tour with a traditional Water Puppet show. Your family will spend the second night in Hanoi.

Day 3

HANOI – NINH BINH (TAM COC BOAT RIDE & CYCLING)

Depart from your hotel in Hanoi early in the morning, the drive to Ninh Binh province takes you about 2,5 hours through the fertile land of the Red River Delta. Upon arrival, you will take 2-hour sampan boat trip at Tam Coc (Three Caves). This area is considered as “Inland Halong Bay” featured with karst formations. It is very beautiful scenery along the row with vertical sides of Limestone Mountains and rice paddy-fields. The local rowers will take you gently through three beautiful limestone caves with hundreds of stalactites above your heads. Back to the dock and transfer to a local restaurant for a Vietnamese lunch. In the afternoon, you will jump on a bike for a stunning ride along the back roads through the beautiful scenery of sheering karsts on the ground of ponds, rice paddies and rural villages in the area. On the bike, you will have as many stops as you want to take photographs. One of the stop is Bich Dong Pagoda. Bich Dong pagoda is an important religious place for the locals in the region. It comprises three structures: Ha (Low), Trung (Middle), and Thuong (Upper) pagodas in ascending order at the side of a rocky mountain. We will take a slow hike up to visit the three structures. Beside learning about the local belief, you will get a beautiful view when you reach the highest one. Thence, pedaling back and make your way to your hotel. Check in and rest. Day 4

CUC PHUONG NATIONAL PARK

After the breakfast at the hotel, you will set off at 8:30 AM and drive to Cuc Phuong National Park, the oldest national park of Vietnam. Upon arrival, the guide will walk you to visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Center, where you will have a chance to see some different species of Vietnam’s rare colorful langurs, and learn about the center’s rescue program. Followed by another visit to the Turtle Conservation Center, this is another flagship for efforts to protect tortoise and freshwater turtles in Vietnam. Have lunch at the park restaurant. In the afternoon, get on the car and drive to the center of the National Park for a 2, 5 hour hike through this dense rainforest to see a giant thousand-year-old tree. Followed by a visit to a prehistoric man cave on the way out. Arrive at your hotel in Hanoi about 6:30 PM. Overnight in Hanoi

Day 5

HANOI – BAT TRANG POTTERY VILLAGE - BAC NINH

This morning, you have breakfast at the hotel as usual and start your day again at 8:30 AM. The short drive takes you along the Red River Dike to Bat Trang Pottery Village. Bat Trang is a long-standing traditional village where the most fine ceramic products of Vietnam are made. On arrival, you are guided to some workshops o learn how the skillful village artisans are making the products. Different stages of the production will be viewed while you are visiting. Have a stop at a setup workshop where you can have a hand-on experience with a basic guidance of a villager. This is time for you and your family to try how good you are! You are definitely able to take your work along with you when you finished. Lunch will be served at a local house. In the afternoon, Get back to your vehicle and make your way further to the delta. Pay a visit to an old Buddhist pagoda, named Phat Tich before driving along the Duong River Dike to your homestay today. The homestay is located at a peaceful village. Tonight you will experience a typical life with the host family by joining them with dinner and interaction.

Day 6

BAC NINH - HALONG BAY

After your early breakfast, we bid farewell to the host family and set off for Halong Bay. The drive takes about 3 hours. Halong Bay is a breathtaking secluded bay with 2,000 limestone islands rising from the emerald water with different and spectacular formations, created over thousands of years by waves and wind. Board your cruising vessel and have lunch as you cruise among thousands of dramatic limestone karsts into the marvelous scenery of the World Natural Wonder. Visit a cave that filled with stunning stalactites and stalagmites, go swimming, paddling kayak and take part in a Vietnamese cooking demonstration or just simply relax as the boat is winding its way through the Bay. Dinner and spend a peaceful night on board, beneath a night sky alive with stars

Day 7

HALONG BAY – HUE

Get up in the morning; enjoy fresh air and gentle breeze from sun deck. After breakfast, you will have further cruise to explore the other part of Halong Bay and visit a fishing village where you have a chance to learn the life on water. Enjoy a wholesome brunch while the boat is gently heading toward the pier. Get on land by noon for your private transport to the airport. Your early evening flight takes you one hour to Hue city in the center of Vietnam. Upon arrival in Hue, get picked up and make for the downtown and check in to your hotel. Overnight in Hue

Day 8

HUE – HOI AN

This morning, start the day with a boat cruise on Perfume River, visiting lovely Thien Mu Pagoda which is located on the bank of the River. Thence, it is followed by a car transfer to Hue’s citadel. Inside the citadel was the Imperial City, with a perimeter of almost 2.5 kilometers. Inside the Imperial City was the imperial enclosure called the Purple Forbidden City, a term similar to the Forbidden City in Beijing. The enclosure was reserved for the Nguyễn imperial family. After that, enjoy vegetarian lunch at a nunnery. In the afternoon, drive to Hoi An via Hai Van Pass. Check in to your hotel in Hoi An for ending the day. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 9

HOI AN

In the morning, take a city tour on foot and visit a local charity school for interaction with local kids. Continue by bicycles with a visit to a farming village in the suburb of Hoi An, joining with locals to learn how rice and vegetable are grown. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 10

HOI AN FREE DAY

Free day in Hoi An for swimming on the beach or more explore in the old town, visit the tailors or simply relax. Vietnamese cooking lessons can be arranged upon request. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 11

HOI AN – HO CHI MINH CITY

Morning flight to Ho Chi Minh and settle into the hotel. This afternoon we will tour the maze of streets and experience the hustle and bustle of Chinatown, ancient pagodas and cathedral and War Museum. Overnight in HCMC

Day 12

CU CHI TUNNELS

The tunnels were constructed during the “American war” and used by the Viet Cong. Today, some of the remaining tunnels have been opened to tourists, offering a unique insight into what underground life must have been like during the war. Upon arrival at the historical site of Cu Chi you will watch a brief introductory documentary and then begin our sightseeing, walking on the dirt paths through the bush. You will also have the chance to crawl through some piece of the tunnels if you wish. After touring Cu Chi you are transferred back to Ho Chi Minh City for the afternoon free at leisure. Overnight in HCMC.

Day 13

HO CHI MINH CITY – BINH TIEN FARMSTAY (MEKONG DELTA)

In the morning, we drive to the Mekong Delta for a bicycling ride of 7 km on quiet back-roads through peaceful villages. Enjoy the green countryside scenery with gardens, river and local life. Afterwards, you’ll enjoy a motorboat ride through a canal to a wide lotus field. Continue cycling on a high bridge over a river, visit a local primary school (we encourage to view from outside only to avoid distracting the kids from their lesson in class). Finish cycling, we continue take a transfer straight to Binh Tien Farmstay. Arrive at the Farmstay around noon.
(Note1: Cycling option can be replaced with motor-biking option or private car transfer)
Lunch at the farmstay. Your hostess will treat you with special dishes made of local fresh ingredients grew at the farm (you can even join the family preparing the food if you like.) After meal, simply relax or take a nap on one of the hammocks that scattered around the farm or go fishing in peaceful atmosphere. Late this afternoon, we’ll cycle around the village. On the way, we’ll visit some vegetable farms to buy some fresh ingredients for dinner and a fish pole making workshop. Return to the farm, we’ll help the hostess prepare for dinner. She will also show you how to cook the local dishes. Overnight in Binh Tien Farmstay

Day 14

BINH TIEN – CAI BE – CAN THO

After breakfast, we will make our way to Cai Be where we will take motorized boat trip on another branch of Mekong River, along the ride, we will make some stops to visit some traditional workshops and ride a sampan boat row on a little creek. Lunch at a restaurant nearby the River. In the afternoon, get back to our private car and head down South to Can Tho City. Check in your hotel and overnight at a hotel

Day 15

CAN THO – HO CHI MINH CITY

After breakfast at the hotel. At 07.00am, take a leisurely waking to Ninh Kieu wharf. Tourist will have chance to see morning streets market with many products homemade such as fruits, vegetables, cake… are sold on the way to the wharf. Cruising in the river to the busy Cai Rang floating market, one of the biggest floating market in Southern Vietnam. Visitors will be surprised to explore “the method of the business” in the floating market areas. It is really impressed. After exploring the floating market, visitors will visit the place to see how they make rice vermicelli noodle and the orchard garden. Wandering in the village and try your best to cross the bamboo bridge which is built only one bamboo tree. Cruise back Ninh Kieu wharf. Stop for lunch. Arrive to Ho Chi Minh city around 5.00pm.

Day 16

DEPARTURE FROM HO CHI MINH CITY

Today is your last day of the trip in Ho Chi Minh City. You are free at leisure or go to do some last shopping before getting picked up and take the private transfer to the ariport for your departure flight. End of service.
