Vietnam Visa overview
Visa as the entrance of entering the country all travelers should pay for this. To apply a Vietnam visa to enter the country, all travelers should prepare a 6-month valid passport after their leaving date from Vietnam. Vietnam government uses a different fee depending on the travelers’ nationality.
Nowadays, Vietnam government is offering free 15-day Visa for the nationality of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Russia, United Kingdom, German, France, Italia, Spain, Japan, and South Korea. All these travelers should do is to show their return ticket. We will apply a fee for who wish to stay longer than 15 days.
With regarding ASEAN passports, the travelers do not need to apply Vietnam Visa for a visit within 15 – 30 days. For instance, the Philippines can stay up to 21 days while Japanese and South Korean passport holders stay up to 15 days only.
Vietnam visa has two types: Single entry visa and Multiple entry visas. With a single entry visa, if you leave Vietnam for Cambodia with a couple of days, you need to ask for new permission to re-enter Vietnam, or you should apply for a Multiple Entry Visa to Vietnam. The validity of a Tourist Visa or Business Visa is up to 3 months; if staying longer, you need to arrange another particular Visa type for your non-traveling purpose.
Where to apply for Vietnam Visa?
Our travelers have two places they can ask for applying:
At the international airports in Vietnam such as Noi Bai (Hanoi nearest city), Tan Son Nhat (most adjacent Ho Chi Minh City), Da Nang (nearest Danang city) or the border gate.
At the Vietnamese consulate in the home town and Visa stamp will be stick on their passport before departure.
Travel agencies or Online travel agencies can support you to apply Visa approval letter, and they will send to you in time the official document issued by the Vietnamese Immigration Department. The approval process usually takes 3-4 working days. A standard processing fee is charged for this service. If you expect to get it within 1-2 days, an express surcharge will be added.
How to apply for Vietnam Visa

We have 02 options to obtain this Visa type:
Option 1: Apply for a visa at the Vietnamese consulate in the home town before departure
With regarding apply for a Vietnam visa at your country, you should prepare well with the following documents and submit them to the Vietnamese Embassy / Consulate for approval:
- Passport valid for at least six months, not torn or blurred.
- Filling the application form for a visa according to the completed form.
- A scan or copy of the papers which prove your Vietnam-entering-purpose.
- Submitting the payment of visa fee at the Embassy / Consulate as required.
Option 2: Apply for a Vietnam visa right at the international airports (not available at domestic local airports). To apply for a Vietnam visa at the airport, you must prepare the following documents:
- The valid of the passport must be available at least six months, not torn or blurred.
- The Approval letter is the entry documents issued by the Immigration Department – Ministry of Public Security of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. This paper allows you to enter and get a Visa stamp at international airports. The nationalities in the Visa exemption list, it is not necessary to show any immigration documents.
- Fill in the given form, two photos with passport size, and pay Stamp fee by cash to receive the Visa stamp on your passport.
Note: With regarding Approval letter, you can apply it online in advance with the fee.
Vietnam Business Visa
In the past, Vietnam Business Visa is available for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 1 year with single or multiple entries. Nowadays, only the validity period of 1 and 3 months are allowed, just the selected national organization have enough authority to apply for a more extended business visa.
To apply this particular Vietnam Visa type, you need to have the introduction letter which will be issued by a trusted, qualified organization. This organization will guarantee your existence during your stay and will take responsibility if you do anything under the law.
What information we need for applying Visa
For both cases mentioned above can facilitate the Vietnam visa application procession and apply the necessary visa in-advance-approval from the Vietnamese Immigration Department. We need these required details from all applicants (you also can scan or take photos of your passport and send to us by email)

Vietnam Visa application fee
On arrival in Vietnam, proceed to the Visa on Arrival counter at the airports. You will be asked to fill one more form, give two photos and pay in cash before the visa is stamped into your passport and before going through passport control.
- Single entry Visa type (1 month or 3 months), you need to pay by cash (USD) 25 PER PERSON
- Multiple entry Visa type (1 month or 3 months), you need to pay by cash (USD) 50 PER PERSON
Before departure, prepare some banknotes in US Dollars to pay the Vietnam visa stamping fee on arrival. Such a procedure is possible at the international airports in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon and Danang).
