Bai Rang

Bai Rang is the most beautiful beach and a famous stretch of sand in Phan Thiet city. Visitors coming here always say that they are especially impressed by its dense coconut groves, pure and white sand and crystal-like clear water for swimming and diving. Thousands of people come here every year, and the high tourism season of the year is summer.

Hon Rom

Hon Rom is the name of a small and still wild and not much famous hill in Phan Thiet city. Less crowded than Bai Rang, this hill is located nearby a stunning beach, which is surrounded by medium cliffs and densely covered palm tree forests. Hon Rom attracts visitors’ feelings with its shimmering white sandbanks and blue seawaters. In every morning and afternoon, you need to point a camera to capture charming images of sunrise and sunset, which no editing skills and filters are required.

Hon Ghenh

Less than 1 kilometer far away from Mui Ne, Hon Ghenh or Hon Lao is an impressive gift of Mother Nature but still wild and not much favorite. To reach here, visitors need to hire a boat rowed by locals, ten people/200,000 VND per boat. The waters feature a stunning landscape of corals and vibrant array of marine life. The fantastical beauty of Hon Lao becomes the worthiest watching in the afternoon when visitors can enjoy the most romantic scene of the sunset over the sea in Vietnam. Morning is a suitable time for tourists who are big fans of fishing.

Sandy Dune (Doi Cat Bay)

Nearby Hon Rom, Mui Ne sandhill is another fabulous destination binding visitors’ foot with its enormous red dunes. Colored with more than 18 different colors, billions of sand grains color-mixed with each other, creating a majestically desert-alike scene that you can never imagine. Riding a motorbike is the most convenient and the cheapest way to go there. On top of the hill, there are several exciting and adventurous games for tourists to try.

Mui Ne Fishing Village

Mui Ne Fishing Village is around-3-kilometer far from the North of Mui Ne Town. On the gateway to this village, the first thing you can see is hundreds of local fishing boats and ships colored differently. Not too far from here located a small market of locals nearby the beach, which is surrounded by dense coconut palms like other beaches in Vietnam. Walking along the beach, tourists can see and collect a lot of seashells with adorable shapes. They also can know more about how the locals are fishing if they walk toward the South of the town.

Fairy Stream (Suoi Tien)

Most of the tourists ever setting their feet over there praised this spot as “Heaven on Earth.” Suoi Tien Mui Ne is a walking small ravine nearby Hon Rom with stunning sand valleys. Nearby this water stream is natural limestone stalactite hill colored red and white. Along time, the erosion creates natural stalactites with strange but beautiful shapes are created by the erosion with the time, having the mystery beauty like other famous limestone caves in the world.

Bau Trang – Bau Sen

18-kilometer far away from Hon Rom, these two natural freshwater lakes are sandwiched among enormous white sand hills. Bau Trang ‘s other name is Bau Ong, where people can watch a lot of lotus flowers blooming beautifully. Lotus flowers can be so beautiful when fully open, which usually happens in summer. Bau Sen – also known as Bau Ba, is an immensely vast lake, with a surface of deeply-blue color, surrounded by fantastic sand caves with pure white and smooth sand grains.

SPECIAL CUISINE OF MUI NE – PHAN THIET

Iguana (Dông)

In Mui Ne, Iguanas are an invasive species which people see that its population increases a lot year by year. Locals can fry them, boil them, roast them, skewer them or even deep fry them. Some people do not like the little bones, but we can let you know that – try this food in Mui Ne or you will regret later.

Huynh De Crabs (Cua Huỳnh Đế)

This type of crab has thick shells what are yellow as imperial mantles. They have thorns around the body and big, sharp pincers with lots of sweet white meat inside, positively enormous, long and spiny legs. Locals fish them during the crab season time, after Tet holiday and before the storm season comes. Commonly, cookers heat and crack one whole crab to serve simply with butter or dipping sauce, which can feed two people.

Salad with Deep Herring (Goi Hai San)

Local cookers choose big and fresh deep herrings to make this food. The scales, head, tail, and bone of deep herring are removed before they are plunged into ice. After that, a lot of ingredients such as lemon juice, carrots, onions, basil, peppers, garlic, and peanuts are mixed with the herring. Now it’s ready to eat! The blend of all these tasty ingredients with a special peanut sauce makes the most delicious taste. Crispy rice paper, young banana, star fruit, and other vegetables are the best combination for this food.
