Huynh De Crabs (Cua Huỳnh Đế)
This type of crab has thick shells what are yellow as imperial mantles. They have thorns around the body and big, sharp pincers with lots of sweet white meat inside, positively enormous, long and spiny legs. Locals fish them during the crab season time, after Tet holiday and before the storm season comes. Commonly, cookers heat and crack one whole crab to serve simply with butter or dipping sauce, which can feed two people.
