You will be picked up at your hotel in Hanoi early in the morning (about 7.30 AM). This morning, you will travel to Sapa on the HW Noi Bai – Lao Cai. This is the longest highway in Vietnam. The scenic drive from the Red River Delta, through the midland to Lao Cai province will be a good start for your trip. Arrive in Sapa by noon. Have lunch at a restaurant in town. After that, we will transfer to a trekking point in Ma Tra Village, The first trek we are doing today is on a small concrete path winding along the Ta Phin Valley in between rice terraced fields and through villages. Get picked up at Ta Phin Village and make our way back to Sapa town, check in a hotel for the night. Dinner is on your own account.
Approx: 6km/ 3 hours trekking.
Accommodation: At a hotel in Sapa Town

Day 2

MUONG HOA VALLEY (CAT CAT - Y LINH HO - LAO CHAI - TAVAN VILLAGES) (B/L/D)- With guide

After your breakfast at the hotel, together with your tour guide, you will set off for a moderate trek to Muong Hoa Valley. The first stop is by a waterfall at Cat Cat village of the Black H’mong people for taking photographs and listen to some traditional music and dance (if you come right at the time of a show). The first part of the trek in Cat Cat Village is quite crowded on concrete steps down to the waterfall, but then we continue on toward Lao Chai village on a small dirt path along the valley. This is a less-traveled path in the valley and the scenery is stunning. A basic lunch is at a local food store on the trek. After lunch, we will descend to Lao Chai village and on to the Ta Van village for the home-stay. The terrain can be steep at times and slightly challenging for seniors. However, you with a moderate fitness level should be fine. The homestay accommodation for the evening is basic, but clean bedding and mosquito nets are provided. Dinner and overnight at a local house.
Approx: 12km/ 7 hours trekking
Accommodation: At a homestay in Ta Van Village
